De excursie naar de politieke hoofdstad is mogelijk door Vrienden van De Twijn. Zo leren de kinderen op een aantrekkelijke en laagdrempelige manier over de Nederlandse politiek.
De dag begon op miniatuurformaat in Madurodam waar de leerlingen startten met een educatief rollenspel, waarbij zij de volksvertegenwoordiging van de fictieve stad Democracity waren. De kinderen beslisten op democratische wijze wat er in de stad gebouwd ging worden. Daarna mochten zij rondkijken in Madurodam en speelden het digitale spel Kindermiljoenennota.
Aansluitend een bezoek aan het Binnenhof. Het was weer een zeer leuke, gezellige en educatieve dag!
